A short poem about time's effect on a relationship.
Time will steal your memory,
But, then just let you go.
I could feel what I always felt,
And a truth you'll never know.
It's so cold outside this Winter.
The thought of Spring brings no relief.
Summer lost in a forever of time,
Like a mere, slight, fantasy.
A beautiful moment, just more here than there,
Like leaves in the Autumn air.
Needed to be, but whisked away,
No reason you should care.
I won't cry a single tear.
Far too many would surely fall.
There's no sense lying over spilled milk.
Wasted time on the never call.
The yoke of this passive indifference,
Has settled tightly across my eyes.
I can't scream and I can't cry.
You just can't know why.
