The tormented silent steam inside a bottled up volcano of emotion.

                   SHY, am I?

Embarrassed beyond recognition
         beneath a mask of indifference.

Too many appetizers
         and too many cocktails
         fill a miserable void ---
the self-absorbed belly…
         of a mournful, disconnected soul

Invisible, freak of nature untold
         in a society, seemingly bold.
