A Lovely Day

This poem is for Megan. I had a date with Megan and I had a great time.

I meet a nice, young lady that took me out to eat

I learned a lot about her; her presence was a treat

She talked about things that made me laugh and smile

We chatted for quite an amount of time; a good while

The food was delicious; the exact opposite of bad

Everything went so well and I was ever so glad

She was so generous that she paid for the bill

I said I would make it up for her; I made a deal

Dinner and a movie is what I have in mind

She deserves it, since she seems so kind
