Dark Angel

beware the dark angel

Dark Angel

A dark figure in the night
watches over those he wants
waiting till the time is right
to reveal himself to them.

Protecting them from others
who would feed on them if able,
the figure lurks in every shadow
waiting to pounce if needed.

No one knows where he hides
no one's sure he is real,
all that they believe is
he's an angel of death.

To him, death is nothing,
he's been dead for centuries,
no God has brought him peace
no Devil brought him pain.

Trapped between worlds,
he drifts through the ages
feeding off the evil
protecting the weak.

The living, to him, are substance,
the dead his only comrades.
A lonely life he leads
Unable to escape.

Trapped within the darkness
of this cruel world,
unable to see the light of day
or feel the warmth it brings.

If ever you do chance to see
this creature of the night
be sure to receive a message of death
from the dark angel.
