See Thru

The sun rises to another day
I just lie awake and stare
Been left on my own again
Lost in another zone.

I've been here many times
It's nothing new to me
Retreat to a place deep within,
Everything just stays the same
Can't feel this another night.

I want to hold my head up high,
Look at myself straight,
I disappear when I'm with you
Why must I feel this way?

Can't remember all the promises
Just riddles in my mind,
My screams aren't loud enough
You don't know how to listen,
I beg to you in vain.

Stuff down all this pain
Don't want to suffer any more
I just want to feel alive
And stand on my own feet.
