Diamond Eyes

Looking at these pictures of you
wondering what to say, what to do
to ever repay the kindness
that you have shown to me
in my hour of need.

You said no thanks was needed,
it was part of the deal of friendship
but in the line of duty
the line was over stepped,
and now my heart is breaking
over how the debt should be paid.

If I could climb over mountains,
or swim through the seas
to find a treasure worthy, I would
for no words could ever express
what I feel for you.

A friend like you is hard to find,
a diamond amongst the autumn leaves
and as I sit here, pouring out my heart and soul
I wish that you knew how much you really mean to me.
