A fantasy about working at an office job - a rhyming poem. |
| The pressure of being the smartest worker, That sincere and caring, thoughtful guy, Has led to the occasional blunder, A tremendous slice of humble pie. So confident, then completely shattered, No record books or history made, Once so satisfied and self-centered, Now your ego's fully paid. News of this imperfect guy, Still well-liked and quite sought-after, Will make him just a little shy, Drawing their auspicious laughter! The world likes news, and this is it, A mistake by those who have a few. Makes them want to laugh and sit, And leaves us feeling sad and blue. Courage while we're all left hanging, Filled with grief, we walk away. Then, suddenly, a lot of nothing; The mistake's avoided, what a day! |
