Two boys see and interesting ghost.
Timothy knew he had a curfew
yet he overlooked it that night.
Down by the lake he went to partake
in a Halloween bit of fright.
So with a friend they went to attend
that “vision,” although they had doubt.
Yet by the pier, white-glowing and clear,
it arose and hovered about.
Beckoning bright within the moonlight,
the specter held them in a trance.
And as they stared, the specter then shared
what looked like a light, flashy dance.
It found a way to shimmer and sway,
(two boys were unable to speak).
Thus with a spin it seemed to begin
a samba in ghostly technique.
Then on the dock a bit of ghost-rock
was what the two boys so perceived.
Like Kiss it rocked, and even moon-walked--
would this specter tale be believed?
So as the ghost alit on a post
(in long flowing, ghostly white gown),
it tilted so, and then to and fro,
and sure enough it then got down.
They watched in awe a specter withdraw,
but not before a parting shake.
Both boys maintain its message was plain,
before it was mist on the lake.
