A poem inspired by my Open Wound writing
Step inside my open wound
See where I’ve been
In this bloody pool
Check out my scars
From the past
Dig in deep
To make sure they last
A heart once red
With anticipation
Now it’s black
From desperation
I feel no love
I feel no pain
As for living now
I have nothing to gain
If you wish to heal me
Then bring on death
And kill me
