Jesse Lewis
An Acrostic Remembrance
by Steve Cope
01-19-2013

Jesus, Lord and King.
Every bit of understanding is gone.
Seeing this unfold before our eyes,
Surely this has to be a dream.
Ever will we pray to protect the little children.

Listen!  Can you hear it?
Even the wind howls in anguish!
What can we do but continue on.
In memory and honor of the lost ones.
So soon and needlessly has Jesse Lewis ascended into the arms of the Lord.

Jesse in the Greek means "God exists"/"upright".
"I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth."  Job 19:25

Lewis means "righteous"/"safeguard of the people."
"A good person produces good words from a good heart, and an evil person produces evil words from an evil heart.  Matt. 12:35
