Every now and again..... |
Belonging Once I belonged mind and soul to another but it was voluntary so the titles used didn’t fit; per se. He was Hawke; I was his pet. Roles played out yet at times it was he who belonged to me; not the other way around. Neither acknowledged the subtle shifting of links and the game played on until it was done. The very virtues that brought us together were the ones that chained us elsewhere. Now we are friends, but in different worlds that rarely intersect. Odd moments surface; the curtain shifts and then I wish, just for a moment i could be His again. |
