Are we worthless pebbles or diamonds in the rough? |
"Rough diamonds may sometimes be mistaken for worthless pebbles." Thomas Browne We are diamonds in the rough; Our value concealed from all except the Regardful eye of the diamond cutter. Then in our tetrahedral plane He carves a sharp channel, inserts the Laser-edged blade of tests and strikes it. Each blow drives the blade though Severing the rough gem in half. Success is polished beauty. Author's Note: I know there is more to the diamond cutting process then the constrains of this poem allows. |
