Life should not be TAKEN for granted |
Lady Raven stands on the roof top ledge Black gleaming eyes peering over the edge Beautiful dusky feathers are tinged with red And bones show through where she has bled Her wings are broken and useless now From stones and rocks thrown at her brow Just some wicked child's ruthless game Who taught such a thing should die of shame Somehow she manages to still stand tall Upon the edge of this man-made wall Lady Raven then jumps into the air And spreads her broken wings with flair She plummets down towards the earth Slightly gliding on the wind's wide berth Broken body meets soil in a cry of pain Then there is nothing to feel again Although Lady Raven was driven to die For one last time she was able to fly |
