Today would have been my grandfather's birthday

Everyone thinks they know how I feel

I'm here to say you don't.

I'm not sad yet I don't appeal

I refuse to cry, I won't.



I understand what today is,

Would have been my grandfather's birthday.

I won't make any wishes,

Today is not the day.



I won't cry, I celebrate,

Isn't that how it should be?

I feel l should tolerate

Some negativity.
