The insanity of Facebook

Look at me, look at me.
Come and hear what will be.
See the things that I have done.
See the places I have gone.

View the food that I do eat.
See my children, what a treat.
Here’s the cake from my birthday,
All the gifts that came my way.

Vacation for your review,
My pretty feet, my new shoes.
I can wax cute, curt or glib.
Say anything that I wish.

How did I survive before,
Facebook filled my every pore?
Did I really hold it all?
Without sharing every fall?

Without telling how I feel,
Day to day, my life revealed.
Nothing private, all exposed,
For all to see, no door closed.

Look at me, look at me.
Must be careful, or all will see.
Things that are not meant to be,
Must maintain some privacy.
