Happiness evades me as if I were a leper.
The fact is, the world is a terrible place.
So with blankets, coffee, and a sad movie, I cuddle up
And I cry, hiding my shame behind my over-sized cup.
I sit and wait for death’s sweet release and soft embrace,
Looking for a happier place,
To make my beautiful escape.
