My memorial for my thirteen year old niece Amanda killed by a drunk driver

The Night The Moon Turned Blue

The night the moon turned blue
Was the night we lost you
And the night that we lost you
Was the night the moon turned
  blue

An ole drunk driver come barelling
  down the road
Not sure what happened next but
  he lost control
When he hit you it was spot head-on
In twenty-four hours or so you were
  gone

The night the moon turned blue
Was the night that we lost you
And the night we lost you
Was the night the moon turned blue

Just thirteen ahead your life hopes and
  dreams
In the blink of an eye all that had changed
I guess we forgave the guy who took you
  away
But we'll never forget the events of that
  day

And the night the moon turned blue
Was the night that we lost you
And the night we lost you
Was the night the moon tfurned blue
