Seek and destroy
They always seemed to escape to underground
Hitting us and then they were nowhere around
Helicopters whipped around the waves of grass
Firing guns as they hovered and quickly passed
They made a discovery to help round them up
The complex weaved from Saigon to Cambodia
Smallest stature and weight would be the ones
Only armed with wire, flashlight, knife and gun
Climbing inside a dark opening looking for signs
Hiding inside rats, spiders, scorpions and  enemy
Brothers would wait to help pull them up and out
At times they would not make it out of the tunnels
Such brave men carrying on with their dirty work
Saving numerous lives taking a most unusual call
Who were these admirable men serving in Nam
