A Rengay poem about my favotite hangout. |
| Ocean breeze sooths my soul. Pelican observes from pier. Toes embrace warm sand. Sun comes up; sun goes down, living on island time. She dances with surf, pirouettes and dips for shells-- beachcombers’ ballet. Surf sailers perform with dolphins and gulls under blue canopy. Romantic sunsets wrap around our days. Cold beer and boiled shrimp puncutate a day of fun. What a life! Author’s note: The Rengay is a contemporary form of collaborative poetry in the tradition of the Japanese Renga.
