Tribute to Mom. |
| I write to Mother’s memory remembering her spirit, her natural good humor, her devotion and her never-ending ability to show compassion and love. She breathed life into an ordinary word. She gave it color. Even at 92, she was spirit. Even at 92, her smile was kindness. A face of happy greeting, warm, like sunlight. She always had time to pause, to visit the concern for others. I sometimes grieve she is no longer anchored to this Earth, yet I celebrate her always. I do recall her joyousness, her spirited strength, the impact of her gentleness. For selfless devotion, for values, for essential thoughtfulness, I give my heartfelt thanks. And when the stars flash out at night, I shall find you there, there among eternity, knowing this world was made that much better because of you. 31 Lines Writer’s Cramp 5-13-13 |
