"It Is Finished!"

“It is finished,” says the CHRIST,
As he offers up his life and
Then dies upon the cross
In a selfless act of love.

“It is finished,” sing the Angels,
As they praise the news divine, that
Mankind has been redeemed
By the perfect love of GOD.

“It is finished,” shouts the foe, but
What evil does not know is
The one who dies this day in scorn
Shall be raised a King, come Easter morn.

“It is finished,” says our GOD, as
SON of man dies on this day.
It is the price that must be paid
For mankind to be redeemed.

O - this monumental price,
Which in all the universe, none
But SON of GOD could pay,
If humanity was to be saved.
