God's Glory is my inspiration

As I intone prayers of gratitude
The light of creativity is switched on
And the words become my stimulus
Generating poems and prose.

I open the books of sacred scripture
And as I read the revealed verses of God
The lines inspire my imagination
Generating similes and metaphors.

My inspiration is God's Glory
He is the muse for my best work
His words motivate me to preserver
And help to heal writer's block.
