Insecurity’s Love Song

He closes his eyes and lets go,
Everything he held on his lips is gone
Anything coming back from this moment
Is released in the way I hold him
But I might break him like I broke myself
As gently as my hands can move
I make sure he doesn’t fall
But he falls at my feet again

And my heart rushes towards insecurity,
It is not known with this kind of desire
Or this light he placed it in

He closes his eyes and I fear it,
Nothing forced but lying underneath silently
Something in his eyes lets me cling on
But I’ve wandered great distances in that blue sky
And fear that I’d loose him like I lost myself
As strong as my heart can be
I make sure I hold him close
But he holds me even closer again

And my fear rushes towards emptiness,
To divide itself between happiness
And this light he placed it in

He closes my eyes and holds it,
Everything that I ever wanted lying close
Nothing is lost in this fragile second
And Time passes by again, moving fast
But it might fall too hard like I fell too hard
As slowly as my Time can be
I make sure every bittersweet hour stays
But he unfolds them as perfect moments

And my Time rushes towards lost memories,
Recapturing everything that was said
And this light he placed it in

He closes my eyes and holds me,
Anything I held close on reality is lost
Something makes me shiver inside
And the everlasting kiss captures me
But I might freeze it like I froze myself
As warm as my embrace can be
I make sure the warmth stays here
But his warmth is even a better embrace

And my heart rushes towards insecurity,
It is not known with this kind of desire
Or the light he placed it in
