Why people volunteer to fight in a war.

Inspiration
from a nation,
young volunteers.

Fighting a war
for rich and poor
across frontiers.

Most are fearless,
some are beardless,
stolen young years.

Battle beside,
all odds defied,
joining their peers.

Even older
men get bolder,
give up careers.

Loved ones remain,
do not complain,
shed many tears.
