A poem about an affair with a married woman. |
| She's got eyes like the Emerald City She's got brains and curves and boy is she witty And she's got a husband in Indiana ain't that a pity I suppose that it's possible to love more than one guy She says that she loves me I don't think it's a lie I mean I've known this girl since like Junior High Now she's got a child and that complicates things He adopted the kid and all that brings So it seems he has her by the apron stings Now it's seedy motels and my number's restricted It's not even like I'm all that conflicted I wish I could quit her but now I'm addicted Because I know her better than he could fathom I know the darkest things she can imagine She lights a fire in my soul she is my dragon Yes I know the darkness that lives in her soul It consumes me like a black hole And yet I am the reason she has no self control Because she'll beg and plead and call my name again She could seduce a king better than Anne Boleyn My beloved dark angle my favorite sin |
