| The Valley at Night Diamonds and rubies wink at me with electric eyes, and the wind blows cold on my nose. I wish I could fly so I could look down on you, warm and cozy in your bed. But instead, I stand above you, and somehow the lights, which used to welcome me with their warm glow, now only reflect the darkness, and add black to blackness, and remind me I am alone. |
