grieving for a love
The River Runs Dry

So many times I have cried
grieving was a constant demand
Over such things I cannot change
Only the tears in a shaky hand

An aching heart that has to beat
Just so others know I'm alive
Deep inside I wish I had died
It takes all I have to just survive

Time is passing, a year goes by
Nothing left. Not even a tear
I feel cold inside, so blank and dark
Life just moves with me and my fear

I don't want to forget what we shared
However I think it's our time for goodbye
I can only move forward from here
My heart is stronger, the river runs dry
