Doggie

Doggie.

Cross bred poodle with curly coat of black
and his white front, white beard, and four white paws
Told my wife she would have to take it back,
but I faltered when she brought him indoors.

The children have grown and have moved away.
Our Doggie becomes our new little boy.
With him I walk, run and play every day.
He fills my heart and mind with so much joy.

Children, and grandchildren often call round
and they all treat him as one of the crowd.   
An extra love in our life has been found.
To think that it almost was not allowed.

Although my life was full of love before,
Doggie has shown there is still room for more.
