Ice on the pavement and frost on the trees
Peering outside on this cold winter’s day
Chilly air flowing along with the breeze
Hear that a snow storm is heading our way
Put on my big coat, my scarf and my hat
Keeping me warm as I venture outside
But soles of my shoes are rubber and flat
Causing concern as I slip and I slide
Cautiously I make it out to the car
Thawing will soon make it safer that’s true
I know good weather is not very far
Old mother nature will have lots to do
The cold end of winter will surely bring
Buds that announce the beginning of spring.
