At 6:15 she came draggin in
At 6:18 I let her know
I knew where she had been
at 6:21 she started to lie
and at 6:25 I knew I was going to have to decide
to just let it ride

At 6:28 I told her I knew about him
at 6:29 she said he was just a friend
at 6:31 she swore it wouldn't ever happen again
and at 6:35 she started to cry,
and I made up my mind.........
to let it ride

Let it ride on out the driveway
let it ride on down the road
let it ride out to the highway
man from there I don't know
It don't matter witch direction I try
im just gonna let it ride.

By 6:45 she was asleep in the bed we made together
at 7:03 I found my saddle bags
at 7:08 I found my leather
by 7:28 id packed up all my rags
and I was ready by 7:35
to let it ride

By 12:05 she'll start to come alive
at 12:10 figure out that im gone
by 12:15 she'll realize
if it even takes that long,
that I let it ride

I let it ride on out the driveway,
I let it ride on down the road
I let it ride on down that highway
where I'll stop God only knows
but it was way past time
to just let it ride
