A poem about enjoying fishing - a rhyming poem. |
| Let's grab your gear, go out and about - Quite simply put, we shall erase any doubt; Cast out those lines with bait on our hooks And try to catch a keeper, by measuring, not looks... Lots of little ones which none of us keeps; Huge fines are levied if the game warden peeps. But so many tries yield very few fish On many a day, despite how we all wish. But often the act of attempting sport fishing Is more than a circus of just hoping and wishing; There's big fish a plenty on many a day - Just try for yourself and they, too, come your way! A journey of fun and adventure for years, On many a shoreline, vessel, and piers; This time is for pleasure and gamely rewards, But lots of head-scratching, flinching of gourds... |
