A poem with a double meaning and a focus on something so dear to me. |
| Billy Kacyem Body Inside is a labyrinthine mixture of emotions Outside this a plain countenance certainly does not betoken It ostensibly looks as ordinary as vanilla Then why does its external self enshroud its deep thoughts like a mantilla? Experiences engraved in its chapters are not conspicuous The simplicity of its corporeal quality is purposefully perspicuous. It is carnally constituted of a uniform pigment Why is this so distant from what it truly is? Its exterior skin is frail and bland Yet what makes up the inside layers are like kings to be, hightail and grand. What exactly is its purpose to transcend? That only its owner can comprehend. |
