only the intro of my book
"mom, can i go to the beach?" i asked.
"fine, fine. but take your brother with you." she said.
"okay!" i said happily.

i was twelve on the day. and my name, is david. it was a fine sunny day, and i was exited about the beach. even though i had to take my brother. i was so exited that, before my brother reached the door, i ran to the beach steps and smelled the musty ocean smell, felt the cool, soft breeze on my face and felt the sand on my toes. i had reached the water, and my brother was still at the beach steps, when i saw the water starting to rise!

"STORM SURGE!" i called. my brother ran home to tell my mother, i, left alone, was running, trying to make it to the peak of the village. my heart was pounding, the water was gaining on me! i knew i wouldn't make it, but i had to try. i was almost to the beach stairs, then i tripped

i knew this was the end.
