A Sense of Purpose

A baseball team with high hopes inspired this - a poem.

Nothing is ever achieved without
A sense of purpose,
Knowledge, and designs.
When passionately displayed,
This attempt at seeking rewards shows
Command, utility, and attentiveness.

This attitude and perception
Pertains to humankind, nature,
And the furtherance of hopes and dreams;
And it defines character, good judgment,
And most of all, permanence
In a skillful and likable trade.

We owe an immense debt of gratitude
To this innate foresight,
Which brings out the best
In ourselves and the humble,
Helpful people around us.
Without it, we are just
Aimless, tiresome drones
In a demeaning world.
