The Darkness Within

THE DARKNESS WITHIN

When Death consumes me
will anyone notice
When I look into the abyss
Will anyone care
has mine been a life worth living
what will they say about this deed of despair
will they say it’s a waste
or some other such cliche
quite frankly I no longer care

now I am gone
never to feel the pain again
dead to this world full of untold agonies
a gun to the head
a jar full of pills
does it matter the means
that destroyed this life so desolate
the hurting is gone
why should I care
what you think now
when my heart was beating
you couldn’t care less
cold as I sound
the suffering is over
maybe now you notice
maybe now you care
it’s too late though Im done with you all
