Once upon a time
There was a lime
It wasn’t very good
It tasted like wood

Then there was a cake
It was a real flake
The taste was so bad
Just spit it out Dad!

I had a great shake
It fell in the lake
Oh no oh my woes
Some got on my toes!

The pasta in cheese
It really did please
The taste was gourmet
I just have to say!

The honey we found
Was not on the ground
When I heard those bees
Went weak in the knees!

Then I had some sweets
I love those great treats
Chocolate so divine
It’s good any time

I wanted to taste
So started to baste
My turkey in wine
It should have been fine

I so love to eat
A meal so complete
As full as I am
Couldn’t eat a yam!
