Do you smile in front of others and keep your real self locked away somewhere?

It's Not Really Me

It's not really me,

The outside of me

Isn't full of pain or even ashamed.

I smile and all those fools believe me.

Of course my eyes are dry

And I do not cry in front of these other tools.

I laugh and talk and play along

And keep living life as if nothings wrong.

It's not really me,

In the inside I'm tattered and broken

Beyond repair.

Nothing but crumbs where my heart

Once laid.

I am beaten till I'm bloody even though

I'm not even living.

It's not really me,

I just go through the motions

And keep up with life.

I'm scared and lost inside my own mind

Is there anyone out there to help?

There's only silence when that's asked.

And that'll never change.
