A Life Lost

When your life was snatched away
The world did turn a sombre grey
Pray tell me when will the hurting end
And the tears for a special friend

Can I believe it has been a year
Since a life we all held so dear
Became a memory, never forgotten
God's wretched plan I've never gotten

In a clear night sky way up above
As peaceful as the proverbial dove
Brightly shines your everlasting star
I wonder, do you hear me from afar

A life so precious was lost last May
And whilst time moves on day by day
Remember this, we may be apart
But you will always have a place in my heart
