The Diamond


Born
of heat
in darkness,
it seeks purpose.
It knows the beauty
within its shining heart;
yet, unshared, all is for naught
condemned to a junkyard of rock.
It gathers brilliance from unseen stars.
It  is  patient, for  time  has  no  meaning.
Whether  by  accident  or  God's  design,
it finds the light it has always sought,
glimpsed only in a magic dream.
It is transformed, heart ablaze,
and  shines  as  a  symbol
of  the  endurance,
of  the  patience
of the strength
of pure
love.
