A Country Music Lover's Entry
Faded Jeans (Faded Dreams)

There's dark clouds gath'ring in the skies;
a rain storm's on the way.
I feel the rain drops in my eyes;
I miss those sunny days.

The sky bleeds down and stains the ground;
the sun has gone away.
I look but there's no color found;
it's turned my world to gray.

(Refrain)
I watch you in the mirror
and you never seem to smile.
It couldn't be much clearer
you've been unhappy for a while.
The house is empty now, it seems,
though why I can't explain.
Faded jeans and faded dreams
are all that still remain.

You come home later every night.
One day you will be gone.
You don't speak and you won't fight,
there's something going on.

The sunshine of our love has paled;
instead of warmth there's cold.
There is no blame; we both have failed.
Was our love just fool's gold?

(Refrain)
I watch you in the mirror
and you never seem to smile.
It couldn't be much clearer
you've been unhappy for a while.
The house is empty now, it seems,
though why I can't explain.
Faded jeans and faded dreams
are all that still remain.

(Fade)
Faded jeans and faded dreams
are all that still remain.
