Which Ones Hurt the Most?

"Which ones hurt the most?" Ruby asked him

"What are my options?" I replied

"No options, just say."

"I actually don't know what you're asking." I said with a paralyzed grin on my face.

"Never mind. It was stupid coming here, coming to you, doing what we did..."

"...The ones that hurt the most are the ones we didn't see coming, the ones we opened our hearts to, the ones we loved. The ones we decided to trust even when every bone in our body was telling us otherwise. Those wounds never heal. They burn."
