Trudging through a bout of anxiety and depression
Alone

It’s a life of solitude,
with the whole world around
No one to relate to,
a friend never found.

A feeling of emptiness
lies in my heart
A life of loneliness
tears me apart.

People are here,
but I am unseen
I wander alone,
lost in between.

Full of unhappiness,
and always alone
I’m forever afraid
that I don’t belong.

Overcome with worry,
and sabotaged by pride
I keep to myself,
and never confide.

Now I can feel
an end growing near
There will no longer
be reason to fear.

But something stops me
deep in my heart
A family left
with their world torn apart.

An end would be selfish,
so I must go on
My torturous life
has only begun.

A life of misery
with no end in sight
All alone,
I continue to fight.
