This old house has fallen down. It's also covered in beautiful bouganvillia and wisteria.

This old house is all in ruins
This old house is falling down
This old house is full of memories
Of the people it has known.

This old house needs fixing
This old house needs work
This old house cries out for tenants
It’s been deserted by some jerks.

This old house once shook with laughter
This old house has cried in pain
This old house needs happy children
To come by and play again

This old house is now a garden
Nature owns its slow demise
And when the flowers bloom in spring
There’s a wonderful surprise.

This old house is rotting slowly
This old house is doomed to die
This old house is left to Nature
and I’ll always wonder why

No one repaired the paintwork ,
No one trimmed the garden trees
no one maintained the creepers
which now grow along the eaves

Mother Nature’s claimed the house yard
It’s all in her domain
Although it cries out for children
they’ll not come by again.

This old house won’t get a funeral
This old house will fall one day
But  I’ll  recall its happy  times
When I come out this way.
