Thought about my walks on the street. Oct 5th, 2014
City Streets

The cars on the street pass by
Like the years that I've held on
They just fade away out of sight
As I watch them till they're gone

The leaves on the trees change
Turning old a little more each day
So beautiful and yet it is so sad
To know they"ll slowly blow away

The snow starts to fall in the night sky
They sparkle from lights on the street
It's funny how I can find such beauty
In those little things melting at my feet

The people walk by on the sidewalk
Going back to a home not far away
I picture their life with happy endings
The kind I dream of living someday

Things changed on the streets of the city
Since the last time that I saw the snow
Yet so many things remain the same
As I watch the people come and go
