Poem I wrote to stop me smoking and give me something to do. |
CRAVEINGS! Mr Nicotine wants my attention To hide and numb the tension I need a white tobacco stick Long awaits the day I will no longer need my fix I admit to you withdrawals are no fun And they could be gone with a puff just one It's easier to start then it is to quit You try keeping a cancer stick unlit A drink down the neck is all it takes So give me some smokes or face the shakes My friends plead for me to stop But some just give me the flop To stop would awaken my senses But with every hour my lips get dry and my heart string tenses CRAVEINGS!!! Don't mock me be gone But I know you wont stay away for long Mr nicotine why are you so mean If I knew how hard it was to stop I wouldn't have been so keen Nerve endings jangle, cravings constrict me help me get out of this tangle. |
