Where were they when things were nice?
There’s a hemorrhage of mob rule in the western hemisphere,
Angry groups swear allegiance in this putrid atmosphere,
See the greedy acting ugly to the ones who disagree,
Use the politics of fear to milk the homeland of the free.

The Tea Party pays favor when they label all the factions,
Makes a moderate wonder if they think about their actions.
A protest march on Wall Street exploits the bankrupt few,
Both movements spout their arguments that contradict on cue,

Do these people observe themselves on the internet and news?
Regulate more or less, damn all votes against their views,
Anyone can blame big banks, the super-rich, and government,
Too bad no one cared back when the economy was excellent.
