Divine Assurance

For those who have lost someone dear to them.

I awoke from a dream and an angel
stood before me.
Illustrious, sparkling wings with lights
in all their glory.

Suddenly not alone, my father settled
down beside.
He had a message for me, a morsel
he'd kept inside.

This one last chance I've been given
to show my love for you.
Your achievements make me proud in
everything you do.

We held each other tightly. One moment was all we had.
A smile spread across his face, and no
longer was I sad.

I didn't want to see him go. I grabbed
his hand real tight.
But Jesus beckoned to him from beyond the brilliant light.
