My Friend

This emotion strikes my core...
I can't withstand the sting.
You forget me when your with her,
Acting like you don't even know me.

The knife twists in my back,
My low esteem you've ignited...
You go to town to have fun,
While I sit alone, uninvited

Tears of betrayal fall from this face,
But you don't seem to mind...
I'm still giving my all to you,
While you gradually leave me behind.

You find joy in my sorrow,
In my pain, you grasp delight.
Over and over you do this...
What caused you to act with such spite?

These scars leave me damaged,
I can't let them be ignored.
Soon I'll find strength to tell you...
I don't want to be your friend anymore.
