100 word newbie contest entry
Rich grabbed Brooke’s arm and pulled her back to him. “You’re not being fair. If you are going to be mad at me at least tell me how any of this is my fault.”

“They’re your friends…”

“What about it?”

“I don’t think it’s funny!”

Rich pulled Brooke closer. “No, it’s not. Not funny at all. But it wasn’t me.”

“They –“

Rich interrupted, “IT WASN'T ME!”

Brooke fiddled with the buttons on his shirt. “How could they know if you didn’t tell?”

“It was just a good guess until you blew up and confirmed it.“
