If Only I Hadn't

A School Yard dare - what will my Mom say?

If only I hadn't done it;
that crazy,stupid dare
If only I hadn't listened
or just said I didn't care.

Oh, I wish I hadn't done it;
the dare that was so silly.
But everyone was watching
and I can't say no to Billy.

If only I hadn't done it;
rolled my body through dog poo.
And all because I laughed at Billy,
when he got some on his shoe.

But, now my Mom will fume for sure,
when she smells my latest trick.
Or maybe she won't notice,
If I run past her really quick.

She has this vein that pops out,
right above her eye
It would scare away the BIGGEST dude,
for sure she'd make him cry.

Her face gets all scrunched up tight,
and she growls just like a beast.
Her mad breath can be stinky,
like she ate broccoli for a feast.

My mom grows fangs when she gets mad,
and her face turns really RED.
But please man, if you see her,
don't tell her what I just said.

If only I hadn't blabbered on
in fear of mother's wrath.
Now it will be too late for me,
to sneak in and take a bath!
